Trying to find parents of Joseph Clark ANTHONY b ca 1830 Ga [per 1870 Caldwell TX census]. Also in the household in 1870 are William B. Anthony b ca 1833 GA.  Several Joseph & Joseph Clark Anthonys came to Wilkes/Elbert area from Virginia and William Augustine Anthony b ca 1810 Wilkes Co and wife Millie Hightower cannot be located in 1830 in GA, AL, MS, LA or TX.  Another man, Dr Joseph Walker Anthony, a planter, b 27 Aug 1801 also lived in Wilkes.  Does anyone know these families and how they are connected?

• Ann Grainger - MASGrainger@knology.net Two members of the BLACKWELL family were on the 1867 Voters & Loyalty Oath list in Walker Co, AL, where the registrar included their full date and place of birth on the Loyalty Oath. They were: Feb 10, 1808., Elbert Co Ga., J. M. [James Monroe] BLACKWELL  and  Oct 07, 1809, Elbert Co Ga., Davidson BLACKWELL. They had been living in AL from 1840. In 1850 mother, Nancy, was living with James Monroe Blackwell, who was m twice: lst to Irena Coker and 2nd to Elizabeth Williams.  Davison m Sophia Henry in Carroll Co, AL. Was she the dau of James Alexander Henry of Elbert Co?  Does anyone have Henry's will? Davison named his lst son Alexander Henry Blackwell and James Monroe Blackwell named his lst son Joshua.  Also moving to Walker Co AL & living with them was an older Alexander Blackwell [never on a census so age unkn] and younger James Vaderue Blackwell. Who were his parents? James & family are on 1850 & 60 census , in same location as Davison and James Monroe, in the Holly Grove, later know as Blackwell area.
